Hi, I'm Belle,

 

During my childhood, I was always surrounded by books and stories, and my love for reading and writing stems from here. Every year, I received books for my birthday and Christmas presents, and at family gatherings we were always telling tales. This part of my life hasn't changed!

I now work as a primary teacher, and became a children's book author after making up many stories for the children I teach.

In my free time I love to watch the birds in my garden, walk in the countryside and play in my local brass band. I also love reading and book shopping. I care passionately about the environment and the creatures who live there.

Inspiration for my characters and stories comes from my experiences in my job and my hobbies. I write because I want all children to see themselves, and their own struggles and triumphs, in stories.
